Medallion Rottweiler Club Futurity Rules

Please Note: If the above link does not work with your computer, all the information that is required on the forms is listed below.  The Futurity Chairman does not require the information to be submitted on the actual forms.

The purpose of the Futurity Stake is to encourage the breeding of the best possible Rottweilers, and to reward the breeders for their efforts. For this reason, the Stakes are weighed heavily in favor of the Breeder, who is the one that chooses the sire, nominates the bitch before whelping, raises the litter and often even pays the entry fees for the individual puppies as well.

However, recognition must be given to the sire of the litter for his genetic contribution, and to the role of the Owners of the individual Rottweiler in developing it to its greatest potential. The quality of the individual Rottweiler will be the results of the combined efforts of these three. The division of the stakes is designed to reflect this.

The Futurity Stake is entered by nominating the litter. The Get from this litter are eligible to compete in the Futurity Stake held on or after the date they reach six months of age, and only in this Stake.

In accordance with the Medallion Rottweiler Club's Code of Ethics, ONLY OFA CERTIFIED BITCHES, bred to OFA CERTIFIED DOGS are eligible to be nominated in this futurity. OFA NUMBERS FOR DOG & BITCH MUST BE SUPPLIED.
